Xavier Institute of Development Action & Studies (XIDAS)...for some this is just an institute where they spent two years of good and bad times…..but for many it is more than an institute. It is a place where we were groomed for outside world be it a professional or personal life…and we owe our success to it. We will always be a member of great XIDAS family where we got the training to be a facilitator and catalyst in bringing changes in society by providing our professional inputs in various development activities especially in Rural Management. It has the one sole objective ‘to assist the rural people to become capable managers of their own resources and environment’.

Come on and join for the celebration and show the world the strength and in-depth commitment to bring in the changes in the society and especially in rural Indian scenario!!

This place is for XIDAS alumni to join in and share the one common platform. We belong to one of the newest institutes of the famous fraternity of Xavier Institutes… Let's make this a profound medium of online advocacy and a catalyst in itself.

The new world order is here….where everyone has a place and a role to play!!

Dear Alumni,

I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to you all for putting in a great effort to make the Alumni Meet 2011 a big success. I believe that the Alumni Committee chose the right theme Reunite to Ignite for the Alumni Meet 2011. In the past, in spite of many attempts to bring the students who have passed out from this college, we had not made a major breakthrough  to bring all of them together. The  objective of the Alumni Meet 2011 was to bring the maximum number of the Alumni to reunite them under one umbrella and ignite in them the fire of unity, zeal and co-operation to live up to the expectations of this institute which believes in building a nation accordance with the dreams and vision of the Constitution of India, as spelt out in its Preamble - justice, Equality, Liberty and Fraternity and the dream of Fr. Van den Bogaret, S.J., the founder, who was committed to bring about a sustainable development among the rural poor in India.

I do hope that the zeal, unity and co-operation ignited in the Alumni Meet 2011 will continue to grow and bring all Alumni back to the Institute in the years to come. Please remember that you are the backbone and the image of this Institution which will be known to the society and the nation at large in and through you and your work. Once again, I thank the Alumni Committee and all alumni who participated in the Alumni Meet 2011 and contributed visibly or invisibly to its success. I conclude this note with an expectation of a greater participation of all Alumni in the Alumni Meet 2012. May the Almighty God shower his blessing on you and and your works.

Dr. Fr. Ranjit Tigga, S.J.
